RobotGarage 3DModeling needed a simple way to show custom 3D models and school-themed printed products online.
The project creates custom 3D models and broadcasts some of its 3D printed products through its website. Before using Solo, Jace Rexroad was looking for a website builder that did not require advanced design or technical skills.
The problem: getting a maker project online
For a custom 3D modeling project, visuals matter. People need to see examples, understand what can be made, and know where to follow the work. A website gives that work a more permanent home than a one-off social post.
Jace found Solo through a Firefox ad and chose it because it looked easy to build with. That was the key requirement: a website builder that could support the project without turning the site itself into the main project.
Why Solo fit the job
Solo gave RobotGarage 3DModeling a starting point that could be customized with photos and text. Jace said that once the pictures and copy were ready, the website could have been finished in an evening.
"Don't stop hustling, just stay focused."
That quote fits the project. The website is part of a longer build, not the finish line. It gives RobotGarage a place to show work now and a base to improve as the project grows.
What became easier
Solo made the site approachable. Jace described it as a way to gain experience and prepare for future advertising. That matters for a young maker project because the first website does not need to be perfect. It needs to make the work visible and make the next step less intimidating.
The site can now act as a portfolio-style page for custom 3D models and printed products. As the project adds more photos, examples, and promotion, that page can grow with it.
The result
RobotGarage 3DModeling is still early. Jace has not reported a business outcome yet, but plans to advertise the website later. That makes this a useful early-stage case study: Solo helped get the web presence started before the growth work begins.
For makers, that is often the right order. Put the work somewhere clear, keep improving it, then start sharing it more widely.
